Read901 is a city-wide campaign that brings together a diverse cross-section of people and organizations to work together to highlight the importance of literacy. By working together, we can help unlock the potential of individuals, families, and communities to address this urgent crisis. With over 100,000 adults reading at or below a 6th grade level and more than two-thirds of 3rd grade students not reading on grade level, the need for coordinated, results-based effort couldn't be more evident. Read901's mission to collectively build and support community initiatives that improve literacy across the lifespan in Memphis.
